Intaglio : Kimbap Love

Engraved with sharp needle on copper plate, using aquatint method I was able to create 7 shades of gray. I also used fabric to have pattern on the background using softground method. This work is inspired by realization of mom’s love and sacrifice making kimbap (Korean roll); it takes hours of preparation yet it take a second to eat them. Things that I never knew, but now I know.
